Procedure - GEC Exchanges

Here are the different steps to register to this programme:

Complete an online application form to provide details about your teaching experience, education, country of residence and, if applicable, accompanying family members.

Our partner organization in USA will carefully examine each qualified application. If your application is successful, you will be invited to participate in a telephone or Skype interview to discuss your application and assess your compatibility with the program.

Your information is shared with American schools that wish to welcome international teachers. You will be notified if a school wishes to hire you or speak to you by phone or Skype about a teaching position.

After accepting the job offer, the organization will send you the documents you need to apply for a J-1 visa.

Once you get your visa, you will receive a Teach USA Participant Guide explaining all the details you need to know and things to do before and after you arrive. The organization will also help you with the organization of the trip and transport from the airport.

Finally, once you arrive in the United States, the organization will help you apply for a Social Security number, arrange temporary accommodation, and meet with your school principal.

This programme is also available for French teachers! The conditions are exactly the same. Please contact us for more information.
